T-QUAL

Quality tourism products get the T-QUAL Tick of assurance
Travellers will be able to easily recognise quality Australian tourism experiences with a new national symbol – the T-QUAL Tick – that launched on Tuesday 6 December by the Federal Tourism Minister. “The T-QUAL Tick is about differentiating tourism products and services on the basis of quality. T-QUAL businesses have all the required licences and insurances and have committed to a number of standards including risk and environmental management and customer service," said Minister Ferguson. Currently, there are 12,500 Australian tourism products with T-QUAL Accreditation via seven Accreditation programs. More tourism accreditation programs are expected to receive the T-QUAL Tick by the Tourism Quality Council of Australia in the coming months.

Auswalk has the T-QUAL tick.

western australia fires
Fires in the Margaret River area in December 2011 have burnt a small section of the Cape to Cape Track. Shortly there will be markers in place to direct walkers around burnt sections, mostly along beaches. We are expecting (fingers crossed) that the usual track will be open again by March. So you can book with confidence - you'll still be able to cover the distance from Cape Leeuwin to Cape Naturaliste.

The fires have not affected sections of the Bibbulmun Track that we use on our group guided trip called Australia's South West.
